Reverend Larry Woodson, age 67, of Tunnel Hill, GA, departed this life, Sunday July 29, 2018 at Erlanger Health Care. Reverend Larry was born June 9, 1951 in Fresno, California.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend John Franklin Woodson, father-in-law, Mirl (M.C) Moon; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Eula and Oscar Salstrand, paternal grandparents, Joel Franklin and Zada Tally Woodson, maternal grandparents, Ellis and Ethel Lynn Bonner.
He was a graduate of High Point Central High School, attended collage at Chapel Hill on a music scholarship, and attended Bible College in Miracle Valley Arizona.
Pastor Larry was in ministry for forty-seven years. Ministry included ministry to missions at home and abroad, evangelize, and pastorate at Prayer and Praise Temple in Bel Air, Maryland, Prayer and Praise Temple in Columbus, Ohio, Kennesaw Church of God, Kennesaw, Georgia, Lindale Church of God, Lindale, Georgia, and Cedar Valley Church of God, Dalton, Georgia. He loved God and he loved people. He always put in his heart,
What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

In the past twenty-three years he, along with hundreds of partners ministered to the needs of the people in Appalachian Mountains where poverty is severe and people are suffering. He would lead a group into a different area each year at Christmas and give literally hundreds of new bicycles, new toys, new clothing, food and household items to thousands of needy families. This ministry will continue even though Pastor Larry has transitioned to heaven.

Pastor Larry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of forty-seven years, Linda Moon Woodson of the home; daughters, Lana Woodson of Hiram, GA, LaDonna Woodson of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Alexandria (Alex) Chitwood, Ansley Chitwood, Avery Chitwood, Dylan Camp and Logan Camp; mother, Mrs. Marie Gore of Tampa, FL; brother, Reverend Harold Woodson of Tampa, FL; aunts, Jean Odell and Sue Bonner; uncles, Daniel Bonner, Donald and Shirley Bonner, all of Carbon Hill, AL; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pam and Rev. Reeford Sherrell of Dallas, TX several nieces and nephews and many friends.
