A Ministry that LOVE is Building! What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you!

First of all, we want to say, “TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!” This is not a “Larry and Linda Woodson thing!” This ministry is a “God thing!” ALL THE GLORY AND PRAISE GOES TO OUR LORD!!

In 1995, after doing benevolence across the seas for many, many years..(and, we still do), God spoke to our hearts to doing smething in the “Home Garden!” After prayer and several days of fasting, we felt that God would have us to began working in the Appalachia Mountain Region area where the coal mines have closed and in many, many areas there are not any means of industry. So, in December 1995 this vision was birthed.

Our first giveaway was in Majestic, Ky. We had the back seat of our car filled with new and used items and we gave it all away. As a matter of fact, we went to this same area twice in the same month. We were alone on our first trip, just Larry and Linda. We have worked all thru the following years and blessed those who are less fortunate than most of us. We have encountered the elderly ,who many times do not get the medications that they need because the funds that they have are needed for food and utilities. Many of the children do not have the clothing that they need for warmth in the winter months. Most of them only eat what the schools provide during school hours. The need is great year round in these areas.

We began giving away new and used clothing and items. After three years of donations that people would donate that was not even appropriate for a yard sale, we had a serious talk with the Lord. We reminded him that this is HIS MINISTRY..HIS INTEGRITY, and we would no longer give away used things. At that time, God started making available NEW COATS, NEW SHOES, NEW HATS AND GLOVES, NEW TOYS, NEW CLOTHING OF ALL KIND, NEW BICYCLES AND BOXES OF FOOD.

This past year, realizing that meats are very expensive and many times a rare item on the table, we began buying and having TURKEYS donated so we could give them away. One elderly couple that received a Ham a couple of years ago, wept as it was given to them and said,

“THANK YOU—YOU DON’T KNOW HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN SINCE WE HAD MEAT ON THE TABLE!”

We have learned that so many people have always desired to do this type of ministry..”HANDS ON”, but never found the door to walk in and be able to minister personally. WELL…”WELCOME ABOARD!” This is your opportunity to be used of God! You can go with us and be involved in something that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!

We give away bicycles each Christmas by ticket drawings. We have to do that because we never have enough bicycles to go around for all the children. Many times, there are not enough toys to go around for each child to enjoy a new toy. But, our day is not complete until everything has been given away. We will, most likely, never see the people that receive goods and toys ever again. But, on that day, we can possibly hear them say.. “THANK YOU FOR GIVING TO THE LORD!”
